Erin Druez is a film and television editor living in Los Angeles.  Having cultivated her talents alongside many prestigious editors, Erin was always pushing toward editing even as an assistant, cutting scenes on Longmire, The Blacklist, The 100, Transparent, Sleepy Hollow and Faking It.  She simultaneously cut several short films including Tea With Alice, which was selected for the LA Shorts International Film Festival in 2018, and the independent feature The David Dance, which has won numerous awards including best editing, best picture and multiple audience favorites at film festivals.

Stepping into the editor spotlight on the final season of Longmire, Erin used the opportunity to craft an artistic, subjective style.  Getting into a character’s internal head space, tapping their emotional core, and bringing those thoughts and emotions to the forefront of telling the story in an artfully interesting way is a technique Erin has mastered.  Erin is equally skilled at problem solving, finding inventive solutions when there is a lack of coverage or missed tonal beats.  She is a fixer.  She is passionate about her work and thoughtful in her process.

Recently Erin completed season three of Resident Alien, where she has been able to put her comedy chops to good use navigating subtle, quirky and ad-lib performances.  Simultaneously, between seasons, Erin worked on All American: Homecoming, crafting numerous musical sequences, her personal favorite, as well as heart felt dramatic moments.  Erin is proud that her resume features a multitude of shows, showcasing her skills across all genres.  No matter comedy or drama, action or romance, Erin looks at a show and aims to make it a series she would want to watch herself.  She hopes to make the audience laugh out loud, reach for the tissues, think differently, and feel deeply.

Always striving to improve her craft, Erin embraces opportunity with enthusiasm.  She aims to gain an understanding of tone and intention, and working through the spirit of the note, is often able to gain an extremely creative path.  Erin is a team player, a ground breaker, and a talent to be reckoned with.
